~update below~ I've been using one particular keyboard for YEARS, so long that I don't believe it's actually in production anymore. Just a Microsoft keyboard, but one that I took to and have held on to for around a decade now. When I decided I wanted a backlit keyboard for working from home, I found that I actually had a pretty specific list of criteria, and it was extremeeeeeeeely difficult to find one that fit the bill. Most of the fun backlit keyboards are aimed towards gaming of course, but I need mine for work purposes. My biggest needs/wants were: - backlit, including letters, not just around the keys - soft touch, but not silent... just not clunky, clacky, very "clicky" - low profile, but not "laptop" low profile (ie. flat). A happy medium between regular height keys and laptop height keys - wired, not wireless. I don't want to have to worry about charging - a calculator button. Why? Idk. I've gotten used to having one and now I don't know how to function without it. I'm sure there were other criteria I'm forgetting, but all this to say this keyboard fit my specific wants/needs and has been a DELIGHT. Those are the pros. My only cons relate to the lighting. The lighting options aren't as bright as a previous keyboard I had tried. The lighting patterns aren't as smooth as said prior keyboard. And there isn't very many pattern options to choose from. Aside from that, I've been a happy little typist with this one. Oh, also, the calculator key isn't near the keypad, it's over above the F4 key. Not sure that's even worth mentioning because I'm probably the only person in the world that cares. :) ~update 4/23~ I ordered a second keyboard to bring to my office and was so disappointed. The box arrived obviously opened. Outer and inner box in very poor shape. The keyboard and mouse were not packaged as they should be. There were stickers missing. It was obviously a return that just got shipped back out. I’m hoping that the “#1” status has now not affected the product and customer service. I may try ordering again but am hesitant to. Taking one star off for the disappointing second purchase attempt.
