This device excels right out of the box, delivering exceptional performance that easily sets it apart in its class. It's a powerhouse that seamlessly takes charge, but there's a catch: some basic features, such as website monitoring, are locked behind a paywall. In Netgear's ecosystem, what many consider a fundamental function has been rebranded as part of parental control, which may not sit well with all users. The iOS app functionality feels restricted; for instance, it doesn't allow changes to DNS settings or the activation of IPv6. Those in need of advanced configuration will find the web interface far more accommodating. Additionally, the app seems overdue for an update to properly support Apple's Dynamic Island, a miss that detracts from the overall user experience on newer iPhones. On a positive note, the integration of Bitdefender's firewall right from the get-go is commendable. Not only is it a top-tier security feature, but it also grants access to Bitdefender's full suite of anti-malware software—undeniably a best-in-class solution that significantly enhances the device's value. The combination of the router with Bitdefender's protection is impressive. However, the cost of parental controls feels steep. Given the price, one might expect a more robust and feature-rich parental control experience. In summary, while the router itself and its integration with Bitdefender are exceptional, the additional cost for comprehensive parental controls leaves room for improvement in terms of functionality and value.

I purchased this router after researching other routers for a week. My last router was a Linksys and the NETGEAR RS700 has increased our internet speed significantly!! We have around 52 devices(Ring cameras, thermostats, iPads, iPhones, smart TVs, Xbox, PS5, laptops, dehumidifier, air conditioners, washer, Nest smoke/CO detectors, Keurig, Alexa) and have had no problems or issues with coverage or slow speeds. The price is expensive upfront but I feel you get what you pay for and this purchase is so worth the money! Easy setup by keeping my previous network name. Trust me when I say that this router will not disappoint and will not be outdated for a while. My whole family is ecstatic that we no longer have internet issues with connecting or dropping speeds. Thanks NETGEAR for creating such a great product!

Here's a review for the NetGear NIGHTHAWK WiFi 7 Router: --- I recently upgraded to the NetGear NIGHTHAWK WiFi 7 Router, and I am thrilled with the results. The setup process was incredibly easy and straightforward, taking only a few minutes to get everything up and running. Additionally, the router arrived quickly thanks to the fast shipping. One of the standout features of this router is its impressive range. Unlike my previous setup, which required multiple WiFi extenders, the NIGHTHAWK WiFi 7 covers my entire home effortlessly. The range on all three channels is significantly better, providing strong and consistent connectivity throughout every room. Another great aspect of this router is its cooler operating temperatures. It runs much cooler than my old router, which is a huge plus for long-term reliability and performance. Overall, I highly recommend the NetGear NIGHTHAWK WiFi 7 Router to anyone in need of a robust and reliable WiFi solution. The only downside is that I wish the accompanying app offered more advanced features. However, this minor drawback does not overshadow the overall excellent performance and coverage provided by this router.

Before the days of smart devices you could snag an mid level router and it would be more than sufficient for typical home networking needs. nowadays you can easily rack up 80-100 devices that need WiFi which can really bog down a network when you reach or exceed the limit. I recently upgraded from the RAXE300 (40 device limit) and the difference pretty clear: the network is much more stable, haven't had to reset the router to have devices re-assign, not to mention it's way faster and has better range. Unfortunately the wall mount that goes with this device (RBEWMB) has been sold out for a while now (this should be a hint) but you can, with some reservations, use a third party mount for the Linksys Velop WiFi 6 MX5 router ($17). while you can't secure it down, it provides a stable enough platform in the meanwhile without breaking the bank (one could also potentially mod the bottom to allow one to screw this router in place.
